Today marks a hundred days since lockdown.
I repotted some succulents this morning and when I looked at her, I couldn’t help but smile. She pretty much represents the thousand and one thoughts I have grown in my head since the lockdown began in March. In spite of that, I love the calmness in her face. I haven’t been always calm, but I’m learning, and growing through it all.

Congratulations to all of us for making it through. Thank you Lord for keeping us safe and for filling our hearts with your peace. When anxious moments come, we flail and falter a bit but we find our center again, knowing that you are there in the boat with us. In the earlier days when all we wanted to do was rest and when it was hard to get out of bed, there you were, telling our hearts it’s all right.
Through it all you are our provider, protector and peace.

A hundred days and counting and so many lessons learned. Life has become so much simpler, and though there are days that can be difficult, there have been priceless, and intangible gifts sent our way. Gifts we would never have discovered had this period in our lives not have happened.

Teach us Lord to keep these lessons of humility, faith, kindness, patience and love. Remind us that amidst all the uncertainties and upheavals going on in our lives, you are the one true constant we can fully depend and rely on.

Many things we do not understand yet, but we trust your heart, your timing, grace, and most important of all, your heart. Please continue to watch over us, protect us, and provide for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Lord, we hold on to your promise. ❤️
